How to Connect with the INSciTS Admin Team

Dear INSciTS Community and Colleagues,

We are excited to announce that INSciTS has brought on a new admin team to better support the organization, its membership, and events. Meet the new admin team below!

Julie K. Hewett, CMP, CAE
Association Manager

With over 25 years of experience working with a variety of nonprofit associations, Julie will be lending her wealth of knowledge to support the efforts of the Board of Directors and Committees in achieving their strategic goals. She will also oversee the rest of the admin team to support the overall needs and objectives of the association and its members. 

Rachel Hewett
Senior Events Coordinator

Rachel’s primary focus on the admin team will be on event management and logistics for both in-person and virtual conferences. In her years with the team, Rachel has been involved in numerous nonprofit events all over the world and will be bringing this experience to the table as she works closely with the annual program committee. She looks forward to working together to plan a successful and enjoyable conference for everyone. 

Melinda "Mindy" Lacavera
Account Manager

Mindy’s role on the team will be to support the membership as a point of contact for questions and issues as they arise. With her meticulous attention to detail, she will also be responsible for the maintenance of the membership’s information and records. 

Lara Lawson
Events Coordinator

Lara will also be focusing her attention on the planning of INSciTS events. As an event coordinator, she will be working alongside Rachel to support the annual program committee and event attendees. 

Luke McKay
Finance Manager

Luke will be responsible for the financial management of the association. Everything from membership dues to registration fees will fall under Luke’s purview as well as any other financial needs that may arise throughout the year. 

Dustin Melchior
Communications Manager

Dustin will be overseeing all internal and external communications. His involvement will be instrumental in the development and launch of the association’s marketing efforts including membership outreach, social media campaigns, event announcements, association news, press releases, and brand management. 

Morgan Rash
Administrative Assistant

Morgan will be concentrating her efforts on logistical support of INSciTS’s committees including scheduling, agendas, minutes, reminders, and follow-up. In addition, Morgan will also be working alongside Mindy to manage membership information and support. 

Amoritia Strogen-Hewett, QAS
Conference Abstract Manager

Amoritia’s primary duty will be the oversight and management of all editorial tasks for the organization. She will play a key role in the submission and review process of annual conference abstracts and will be heavily involved in the planning and development of any publications or resources.
