The 2022 Science of Team Science Planning Committee is pleased to announce that registration is now open for the 2022 SciTS conference, from July 31 to August 3.  We have received an outstanding set of submissions covering a broad range of SciTS topics.   We have designed a conference to be an engaging virtual experience for our attendees.

As you know, SciTS is the flagship event of the International Network for the Science of Team Science (INSciTS).  It continues to be the premier annual gathering of scholars, practitioners, and providers in the field of Team Science, bringing together a broad range of disciplines to share and advance the latest evidence-based methods in team collaboration and transdisciplinary research. Speakers and attendees will include investigators, facilitators, educators, administrators, students, funders, and policymakers. Our community includes academia, government, industry, civil society, and many other sectors, and spans a multitude of knowledge domain spaces.  Anyone interested in improving collaborative research and discovery is welcome!

We have lined up a stellar set of keynote speakers for the conference:

  • Dr. Wanda E. Ward, who is Executive Associate Chancellor for Public Engagement, Office of the Chancellor, University of Illinois Urbana- Champaign.
  • Dr. Margaret PalmerDistinguished University Professor at the University of Maryland, director of the National Socio-Environmental Synthesis Center (SESYNC).
  • Dr. Staša Milojević, Associate Professor of Informatics in the Luddy School of Informatics, Computing, and Engineering, and director of Center for Complex Networks and Systems Research (CNetS).
  • Dr. Laurie R. Weingart, the Richard M. and Margaret S. Cyert Professor of Organizational Behavior and Theory at the Tepper School of Business, Carnegie Mellon University.

Additionally, we are developing a Summer of Team Science.  Prior to the conference, starting in June, we will host a series of virtual panel seminars to prime people for the conference, and to enhance what INSciTS can do for its community.  These events will be approximately an hour in length and focus on new or developing SciTS related topics.  Please stay tuned for additional information.

Join an INSciTS Special Interest Group

INSciTS Special Interest Groups (SIGs) are member-led groups that provide a “home within a home” for INSciTS members to connect and collaborate with colleagues with shared interests in the SciTS field. SIGs help to build community around shared interests and aligned activities, enable collaboration throughout the year, advance key priority areas in the SciTS field, and create opportunities to engage with external groups. Currently active SIGs address: changing academic culture to foster team science (TS) success; creating incubator spaces for TS; training for TS; scientometrics, network analysis, and data visualization; and emerging careers.  To learn more, please click on the button below.
